Google And Hacked .edu Pages

It’s been a long time since I’ve complained about google but this time I am going to make an exception. Sure I noticed how much spammers are taking advantage of Google giving higher ratings to .edu pages. I though it was just limited to to keywords like the “buy V” word and such. But as it turns out it doesn’t.

Searching for a “double screen cell phone” turned up hacked .edu pages in third and fifth SERPs. As you can see:

.

Earlier this week there was a whole discussion on how google handles hacked webpages and how quick and smooth it does it. Well I’ve had that page on my bookmarks for a week now and still nothing.

It appears google claims the best from nothing really it’s system is still too week to affectively deal with spam attacks from large spamming networks who know and have been in the SEO black hat game for a while.

I challenge Matt Cutts to prove to me how google can’t stop this kind of spam to keep happening. I know and they know that the “V” has been a hotbed of spam attacks so you’d expect advanced spam control mechanisms to spot them. But they just stand on top of every other SE result with a smirk on their faces.

It’s open for discussion I’ve got no beef with google truly I love them but sometimes I just get mad when obvious things are ignored.

Thank You
