Google Killer?

Yep as soon as I come back I find out from seroundtable that there is new speculation of a  search engine being released by the founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales himself. The new search engine will be named wikiasari which is already receiving massive amount of buzz from the web community as the true “Google Killer“.

Apparently techcrunch claimed to have a screenshot but was rejected on the temporarily page of wikiasari.  But wikiasari isn’t it’s name, not at all, it’s just the name of the software that will power the search engine, according to Jimmy Wales himself.

Another intriguing fact about this is the fact that amazon is one of the major funders of this project. Maybe it will use amazon’s A9 technology even though the home page claims to have nothing to do with A9 it’s hard to imagine it doesn’t when all the evidence points to it.
Quite frankly I don’t et what everyone is so excited about this thing could take years before it comes as there is no fixed release date or any other info really except for the hastily made home page.  Let us not forget also the fact that these community powered search engines are everywhere, lii.org,  so what will make this one stand out? In other words what did google do to stand out among all the already there search engines?

Thank you
