Flickr Getting Phished!
Flickr recently released a security notice warning users about new phishing attacks, which ask the user to log in or download a package of private Flickr photos. This is alarming indeed since I use Flickr for any of my images and consider it trustworthy.
Why is this so alarming? There is the fact that most users who use image services like Flickr are novice Internet users who just use the Internet to upload their pictures and send them via e-mail. Users that sometimes don’t even know that they should check the address bar of any links that asks them for information.
The security alert advises users to make sure the address bar shows Flickr or login.yahoo.com. Stay alert to any Flickr emails you receive and be sure to check them to make sure they are secure.
