Amazon’s Answers

Amazon just launched a new question and answer service called askville! Just like yahoo and google answers. One of the major differences between these is the fact that you can’t view a question’s answers until the questions is closed by the asker. They also guarantee your question will be answered by using their Mechanical Turk which uses volunteers to solve or do tasks. And of course a new point earning system in which answers can be given or taken away experience points.

But that’s not all these point can be used with another new amazon service called Quest Coins in which you can actually buy stuff with your earned experience points. Quest coins is not up yet as of now though, but it will give users a reason to collect those experience points. The only thing that I don’t like is the fact that to sign up you have to have a cell phone to which they send a text message.
It seems our friend amazon is trying to become a competitor in the google, yahoo, and MSN field. Next is probably a search engine.

Thank you
